Sample Walk for Life E-mail Messages

Here are two sample e-mail messages you can use to help you raise funds for this year’s Walk for Life.  It’s not only a great way to let your family, friends and co-workers know about CPC, but also a quick and easy way to reach all those who may live far away. Encourage them to help the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater by supporting you with their pledge.  Those who have tried it are reporting great results!

Subject:       I Need Your Help!

On (April 19^th or April 26^th or May 3),  I will be walking in the Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC) of Tidewater’s Walk for Life.  I need people to sponsor me while I walk.  My goal is to raise $<_______>.  You can sponsor me for any amount. Most people sponsor at $25 or above. This is not a per mile pledge but a flat donation.  Your donation of any amount is 100% tax deductible and will help save lives!

It’s humbling to ask for money, but because I believe in the work that CPC does, I’m asking for your help. Simply reply to this message and write:

                Yes, I will sponsor you for $_______.

                         & PHONE NUMBER:

 Don’t send your money to me -- wait for the CPC to contact you through the mail after the Walk.  You will receive a notice from them shortly after the event.
