Patricia was surprised to learn that she was pregnant. Maybe in the future she would welcome a baby, but not now. She did not have a car or home to call her own. She was in between jobs and sinking financially. Also, she knew the father of her baby would not provide any financial support. Because of these and other struggles, Patricia thought her best and only option was to have an abortion.

 Patricia turned to the yellow pages and discovered The Keim Centers. She welcomed the listening ear of her counselor and was impressed by the care and concern that was expressed to her at The Keim Center.

 Prior to her visit to The Keim Center, she was told that her baby was nothing more than a “seed”, so she was curious as to what the ultrasound would reveal.

 As the scan was being performed, Patricia was captivated by what she saw on the ultrasound monitor. It was apparent to her that she was not looking at a seed. She saw a baby, her baby. She was most impressed by her “baby’s beating heart”.

 Patricia left that day resolved to carry her baby to term.

 CPC’s very first client to receive an ultrasound scan had intended to have an abortion. Yet, she immediately changed her mind at the sight of her baby’s beating heart on the ultrasound monitor. Amazing!

 Days later, Patricia’s story continues to unfold in a remarkable way. Patricia not only chose life for her baby, she chose life for herself as she committed her heart to Jesus as her Savior and Lord. Incredible!

 All of Patricia’s troubles have not disappeared, but she now has hope. She says, “[Jesus] can help me and my child throughout the future.”

 Today, Patricia is courageously working through her difficult circumstances with this new Hope. It’s a privilege for this ministry to continue standing with her in the weeks and months to come.
